The Uvalde Coyotes did their part to make the 2013 Uvalde High School Homecoming celebration a complete success as they recorded a 46-13 football victory over the San Antonio Memorial Minutemen Friday night. Playing before a large crowd in the Honey Bowl, the Coyotes built up a 39-10 lead in the first half and cruised to victory in the second half. “Our kids played well. I am really proud of their overall performance,” said UHS head football coach Gary Griffin. “As a coach, you always worry about the distractions that come with Homecoming week. You want the players to have fun during Homecoming, but at the same time, you want them to focus on the game. I think they accomplished both things.” The game was a tale of two halves.
