Where do you read the newspaper? The Uvalde Leader-News is again accepting photo submissions from people reading the newspaper in far-flung or unique geographical locations. The newspaper first held the contest in 2013 and received dozens of entries, which appeared one at a time on the front page of each edition of the newspaper – for nearly one year.Simply e-mail, mail or bring your photos into us on or before Dec. 31, 2016, to be eligible for the contest. The Uvalde Lobos captured a part of the District 29-4A volleyball championship Tuesday night as they defeated the Southside Cardinals, 25-11, 25-14, and 25-10, in the Uvalde High School Gym. With the win, Coach Stephanie Coates’ Lobos, now 22-18 for the season, finished in a three-way tie for first place in the district volleyball standings. The Lobos, Medina Valley, and Floresville each finished district play with a record of 11-3.
