Aurora M. Arias, 69, of Uvalde died on Oct. 30, 2013, at her residence. She was born on March 23, 1944, in Uruapan, Michoacan Mexico to Eloisa Herrera Magana and Francisco Magana. She married Jesus H. Arias in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas on Nov. 8, 1963. She is survived by her husband of 49 years; four daughters, Marybel Peters and husband, Nathan, of San Antonio, Martha Luna and husband, Rogelio, Aurora De Hoyos and husband, Raul, and Eloisa Valenzuela and husband, Frank, all of Uvalde; five sons, Pedro Arias and wife, Juanita, of Eagle Pass, Ricardo Arias and wife, Bernie, Ralph Arias and wife, Roxana, Jesus Arias Jr., and Robert Arias, all of Uvalde; one sister, Estella Roldan of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico; five brothers, Raul Magana and Ramiro Magana, both of California, Rogelio Magana of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, Miguel Magana of Mexico City, Mexico and Guillermo Magana of Austin; 26 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Enrique Magana. A rosary was recited on Thursday at 7 p.m and a vigil service on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Rushing-Estes-
Knowles Chapel. A funeral Mass was held yesterday at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment followed in Hillcrest Cemetery.
