Where do you read the newspaper? The Uvalde Leader-News is again accepting photo submissions from people reading the newspaper in far-flung or unique geographical locations. The newspaper first held the contest in 2013 and received dozens of entries, which appeared one at a time on the front page of each edition of the newspaper – for nearly one year.Simply e-mail, mail or bring your photos into us on or before Dec. 31, 2016, to be eligible for the contest. Liana “Lily” Dehoyos of Uvalde has been without her oxygen tank for just under a month now and would win the award for toughest baby born in 2012, if such an award existed. Her parents, Joshua and Angelica Dehoyos, were gracious enough to share the story of their daughter’s premature birth in hopes of raising awareness about preeclampsia and the dangers associated with it.
