Wrong-way driving leads to one-way street rule

Due to recent enrollment increases and subsequent traffic congestion, Uvalde City Council designated the block of Old Carrizo Road in front of Robb Elementary School as a one-way street from 7-8:30 a.m. and 3-4 p.m. on school days. According to school principal James Butler, drivers (who are not currently required to stop at the intersection of Old Carrizo Road and Geraldine Street) are not complying with requests from the crossing guard and, as a result, endangering students.
