Alicia Rodriguez Gonzales, 66, of D’Hanis died on Nov. 18, 2013, in Uvalde. Funeral services will be held today at 10 a.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Hondo, followed by interment at San Francisco Cemetery in D’Hanis. She was born on May 2, 1947, in La Pryor to Sara Flores Rodriguez and Jose B. Rodriguez. The family said Gonzales loved to read, sew and work crossword puzzles. She worked in the home health care field. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Manuel Rodriguez Gonzales; one sister, Sylvia R. Magdeleno; and one brother, Arnold Rodriguez. She is survived by her husband, Trinidad Gonzales of D’Hanis; one granddaughter, Yvette Diedre Gonzales of D’Hanis; five brothers, Jose A. Rodriguez and wife, Nicolasa, Alejandro Rodriguez, Artemio Rodriguez, Armando Rodriguez and wife, Odelia, all of Uvalde, and Alberto Rodriguez and wife, Kathy, of Texas City; and five sisters, Nelia Salazar and husband, Guadalupe, of La Pryor, Rosa E. Rodriguez of Chicago, Ill., Veronica R. Flores and husband, Robert, of Merkel, Zinna R. Aguilera and husband, Juan, of Horseshoe Bay and Cynthia R. Martinez and husband, Cipriano, of Uvalde. Visitation was held yesterday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel in Hondo with the recitation of the Holy rosary at 7 p.m. Pallbearers will be Alberto Salazar, Rudy Ybarra Jr., Billy Gonzales, Chris Gonzales, Armando Gonzales Jr. and Arturo Rodriguez.
