On a warm, muggy night at Converse’s D.W. Rutledge Stadium, the Uvalde Coyotes ended their 2013 football season Saturday as they lost a 38-14 decision to the Victoria West Warriors. “We knew going into the game that we had our work cut out for us,” said Uvalde High School head football coach Gary Griffin. “Victoria West showed why they are one of the top football teams from the Coastal Bend area this year. “Though we did not perform as well as I had hoped we would, it was not for a lack of effort.
