Where do you read the newspaper? The Uvalde Leader-News is again accepting photo submissions from people reading the newspaper in far-flung or unique geographical locations. The newspaper first held the contest in 2013 and received dozens of entries, which appeared one at a time on the front page of each edition of the newspaper – for nearly one year.Simply e-mail, mail or bring your photos into us on or before Dec. 31, 2016, to be eligible for the contest. Patients who come to Uvalde Memorial Hospital showing signs of a possible stroke will now be met by one of seven neurologists who will conduct their assessment from hundreds of miles away. Uvalde Memorial Hospital is partnering with Methodist Healthcare and the South Texas Tele-Stroke Network to bring advanced medical care to stroke patients in Uvalde.
