‘Civil Sundays’ not always civil

In between calls for assaults, burglaries and vehicle crashes, the Uvalde Police Department responds to about 25 civil complaints each month. These cases range from neighbors disputing property lines to separating couples bickering over belongings or children. “We get about 25 calls a month and about half of those are regarding child custody,” Martinez said. “That is probably what we deal with the most.”
