Where do you read the newspaper? The Uvalde Leader-News is again accepting photo submissions from people reading the newspaper in far-flung or unique geographical locations. The newspaper first held the contest in 2013 and received dozens of entries, which appeared one at a time on the front page of each edition of the newspaper – for nearly one year.Simply e-mail, mail or bring your photos into us on or before Dec. 31, 2016, to be eligible for the contest. Santa might do well to take the next few days to work out a peace agreement among members of the animal kingdom, because packing up the wish lists compiled by area children could otherwise prove to be problematic. Some of the requests are simple enough – puppies and kittens would probably make the trip from the North Pole to Uvalde County peaceably, but throw in the crocodile, tiger, snake, turkeys, pig, pony, turtle, giant bull, monkey, rabbits, fish, octps (octopus?), birds, bear and hamsters requested and it’s a sleigh-wreck waiting to happen.
