Where do you read the newspaper? The Uvalde Leader-News is again accepting photo submissions from people reading the newspaper in far-flung or unique geographical locations. The newspaper first held the contest in 2013 and received dozens of entries, which appeared one at a time on the front page of each edition of the newspaper – for nearly one year.Simply e-mail, mail or bring your photos into us on or before Dec. 31, 2016, to be eligible for the contest. The 2014 Uvalde County Junior Livestock Show is just around the corner and over 200 youngsters from Uvalde County are performing last minute preparations before it is time to check in on Thursday and Friday mornings. Baylee Grissom, 8; Hannah Smith, 11; McCoy Smith, 8; and Haley Jacobs, 14, are just a handful of students who have an interest in animals. They also just happen to be homeschooled.
