John Lee Harris Sr. of Uvalde died on Jan. 17, 2014, at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio. Graveside services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Uvalde Cemetery. He was born on Aug. 28, 1928, to Roxie Byrd Harris and Ralph Harris in Madison, Kan. He married Lilly Mae Wolff on July 2, 1949, in Uvalde. He is survived by one son, John Lee Harris Jr. of Concan; two daughters, Lana Lee Brin of Hampton, Va. and Lynda Kay Ward of Concan; five grandchildren, Heather Lewis of Austin, David J. Brin of New Orleans, La., Virginia Ward Jackson of San Antonio, Christopher Brin of Newport News, Va. and Benjamin Q. Ward IV of Concan; eight great-grandchildren, Catherine Jackson, Scottie Jackson and Hadley Jackson, all of San Antonio, Seth Lewis and Rue Lewis, both of Austin, Jonah Ward of Concan, Leyla Brin of Newport News, Va. and Kaylee Brin of New Orleans, La.
