Antonio Baltazar Arellano, 52, of Uvalde died on June 25, 2015 at his residence. Funeral mass will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. He was born on Jan. 17, 1963 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico to Rosalia Zamora Arellano and Eugenio Arellano Sr. He is survived by his father; three sisters, Maria Estrada and husband, Crescencio, Maria Tellez, and Hortencia Arellano and husband, Jesus Garcia, all of Uvalde; two brothers, Juan Arellano and wife, Maria and Eugenio Arellano Jr. and wife, Maria, all of Uvalde; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother; and one brother, Salvador Arellano Sr. Pallbearers will be Chris Estrada, Aurelio Tellez Jr., Claudio Arellano, Jesus Arellano, Anthony Garcia and Eugenio Arellano Jr.
Michelle “Mikki” Renee Shelby Cockrell, 41, of Sabinal, died on June 13, 2015 in San Antonio. Funeral services will be held today at 3:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Sabinal with the Rev. Monty Benson officiating. She was born on Sept. 20, 1973 in Fort Smith
Irma Rauch Koehler, 102, of La Pryor died on June 16, 2015, at Amistad Nursing Home in Uvalde. She was born on Dec. 2, 1912, in Schumansville to Anna Bodemann Rauch and Otto Rauch. She is survived by two daughters, Alice Koehler of La Pryor and Kay Reddick of Beeville; six grandchildren, Tommy Atkinson Jr.
William “Bill” Howard Gardner Jr., 63, of Oaxaca, Mexico, formerly of Uvalde, died on December 7, 2014 in Houston. He was born on May 28, 1951 in San Antonio to Zelma Thomas Gardner and W.H. “Bill” Gardner Sr. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Rushing- Estes-Knowles Mortuary. The immediate family requests that relatives and friends gather to celebrate Bill’s life, reminiscence, and share stories.
