Danny Mojica Ortiz

Danny Mojica Ortiz of San Antonio, Texas passed away on February 8, 2014, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on May 31, 1958 to Ernesto and Connie (Mojica) Ortiz in Uvalde, Texas. Daniel studied at Columbia School of Broadcasting in Houston, Texas and was presently attending Baptist University of the Americas in San Antonio, Texas. He worked as a radio announcer in Odessa, Texas (KODM), San Antonio, Texas (KRIO and KSLR) and Uvalde, Texas (KVOU). He was ordained a Baptist minister on August 27, 2006 and served as pastor of Central Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father Ernesto Ortiz. He is survived by his mother, Connie M. Ortiz; sisters, Martha Seidel (Kurt) and Bertha Stafford (Ken); and Soul Mate, Hopie Narvaez. A memorial service will be held on February 15 at 2 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, 1226 S. Presa, San Antonio, Texas with Dr. Roland Lopez officiating. Remember Daniel Mojica Ortiz and the life he lived and in celebration of the “Gift of Life” he has given to others. Danny will live on in the hearts of his family, his friends and the organ recipients he never met.
