Saldañas celebrate 60 years together
Where do you read the newspaper? The Uvalde Leader-News is again accepting photo submissions from people reading the newspaper in far-flung or unique geographical locations. The newspaper first held the contest in 2013 and received dozens of entries, which appeared one at a time on the front page of each edition of the newspaper – for nearly one year.Simply e-mail, mail or bring your photos into us on or before Dec. 31, 2016, to be eligible for the contest. Don’t argue, instead have a discussion. Never go to bed angry at one another. Always say, “I love you.” These are just a few pieces of advice that Noe and Teresa Saldaña offer to younger couples looking to achieve the longevity and happiness in a marriage that they have enjoyed for the past 60 years. The couple met in 1948 when Noe was 15 and Teresa was 13.
