Firefighters take on blaze, bees
Where do you read the newspaper? The Uvalde Leader-News is again accepting photo submissions from people reading the newspaper in far-flung or unique geographical locations. A hive of bees was not happy when the vacant home they occupied caught fire on Tuesday afternoon, and the insects tried to take their distress out on firefighters. Local firefighters were dispatched at 4:40 p.m. to assist Crystal City and La Pryor fire departments when the vacant Martinez Street home caught fire.
