Where do you read the newspaper? The Uvalde Leader-News is again accepting photo submissions from people reading the newspaper in far-flung or unique geographical locations. The newspaper first held the contest in 2013 and received dozens of entries, which appeared one at a time on the front page of each edition of the newspaper – for nearly one year.Simply e-mail, mail or bring your photos into us on or before Dec. 31, 2016, to be eligible for the contest. Nataly Castañon Hernandez was named Uvalde High School’s Class of 2014 valedictorian in the school’s annual awards ceremony April 23. Salutatorian is Sarah Elise Vasquez. The remaining top 10 graduates, in order of rank, include Teresa Aviles, Alessandra Ortiz, Hughie Kellner, Lea Nell Christine Dungo, Jacqueline Cantu, A.J. Hernandez, Madelynn Ann Mize and Gabriela Belen Gonzalez.
