Where do you read the newspaper? The Uvalde Leader-News is again accepting photo submissions from people reading the newspaper in far-flung or unique geographical locations. The newspaper first held the contest in 2013 and received dozens of entries, which appeared one at a time on the front page of each edition of the newspaper – for nearly one year.Simply e-mail, mail or bring your photos into us on or before Dec. 31, 2016, to be eligible for the contest. Frances Rose Livingston, 88, of Uvalde died on May 4, 2014, at her residence. Graveside services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery. She was born on Oct. 8, 1925, in Brackettville to Creasa Hokit Rose and James Rose. In 1964, she married William “Bill” V. Livingston in San Antonio. She is survived by her husband, a resident of Uvalde; one son, Gordon Eaker of Uvalde; two daughters, Lynette Eaker of Hurst and Charla Hatfield and husband, Cliff, of Sinton; three grandchildren, Alexandra Eaker, Cooper Ray Hatfield and Carlee Rachelle Hatfield and partner, Ryan Olson; one great-granddaughter, Claire Rose Olson; and one brother, James D. Rose and wife, Lilla, of Uvalde. Visitation was held yesterday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Pallbearers will be Cliff Hatfield, Cooper Hatfield, Kyle Rose and Ryan Olson.
