Where do you read the newspaper? The Uvalde Leader-News is again accepting photo submissions from people reading the newspaper in far-flung or unique geographical locations. The newspaper first held the contest in 2013 and received dozens of entries, which appeared one at a time on the front page of each edition of the newspaper – for nearly one year.Simply e-mail, mail or bring your photos into us on or before Dec. 31, 2016, to be eligible for the contest. Peggy N. Scott, 71, of Uvalde died on July 22, 2014, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital. She was born on Sept. 22, 1942, in Del Rio to Vivian Zellma Hutto Jernigan and Neal Jernigan. She is survived by one sister, Ginger Ann Hargrove of Crystal City; two nephews, Russell Neal Schneider and Mike Hatley; three nieces, Robin Luce, Zayne Jernigan and Tempie Butler; and seven great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Joy Owens; and three brothers, R.J. Jernigan, Jack Jernigan and Neal Jernigan. A memorial service was held yesterday at 2 p.m. at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel with Paul Stephens officiating. The family requests memorials be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
