Anita Ybarra Avalos, 70, of Uvalde died on Aug. 6, 2014, at her residence. A rosary was read Thursday, Friday and yesterday and will be recited again today at 7 p.m. at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. A funeral Mass will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. She was born on Aug. 6, 1944, in Uvalde to Frances Gonzales Ybarra and Arturo Ybarra. She is survived by one daughter, Azenette “Ozzy” Rodriguez and husband, Heriberto, of Uvalde; one son, Alfredo “Freddy” Avalos Jr. of Uvalde; four sisters, Refugia “Cuca” Uriegas, Carmen Uriegas, Olga Sanchez and Rosa Linda Ybarra, all of Uvalde; three brothers, Conrado Ybarra, Lupe Ybarra and Arturo Ybarra III, all of Uvalde; and two grandchildren, Nakayla Rae Rodriguez and Heriberto Rodriguez Jr., both of Uvalde. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo T. Avalos Sr.; and parents. Pallbearers will be Heriberto Rodriguez Sr., Arturo Ybarra, Lupe Ybarra, Frank De La Paz, Joey Ybarra, Crispin DeHoyos and Roland Sanchez Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Ybarra Sr. and Conrado Ybarra Sr. RUSHING-ESTES-KNOWLES MORTUARY, WWW.REKFUNERALS.COM
