Charles Eugene Everett, 71, of Odessa died on July 30, 2014, at his residence. He was born on Aug. 26, 1942, in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Madlyn Everett Knouf and Fred Everett. Everett was a retired insurance claims investigator and owned and operated Everett and Company in Odessa for 30 years. He moved to Uvalde as a small child with his family. He graduated from Uvalde High School and played football for then-Texas A&I in Kingsville. He moved to Odessa in 1965. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Jerry Everett of Odessa; two daughters, Gayle Burleson and husband, Jerry, of Artesia and Kim Harrison and husband, Stan, of Odessa; one sister, Marilyn Adams of Cedar Park; one brother, Fred Everett Jr. and wife, Susan, of Live Oak; and one step-brother, Tommy Knouf and wife, Judy, of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Graveside services were held on Aug. 4 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. HUBBARD-KELLY FUNERAL HOME OF ODESSA
