Where do you read the newspaper? The Uvalde Leader-News is again accepting photo submissions from people reading the newspaper in far-flung or unique geographical locations. The newspaper first held the contest in 2013 and received dozens of entries, which appeared one at a time on the front page of each edition of the newspaper – for nearly one year.Simply e-mail, mail or bring your photos into us on or before Dec. 31, 2016, to be eligible for the contest. Uvalde High School cross-country runners performed well in their opening meet of the 2014 Texas high school crosscountry season. Aaron Whitehead won first place in the boys varsity division and Mabel Fowler finished third in the girls varsity division of the UHS Invitational cross-country meet last Saturday.
