Yolanda Moreno of Country Gardens and Seed, along with her husband, Johnny, and daughter, Emily, donated $2,000 to American Legion Post and Auxiliary 479 on May 18 to help fund flags for veterans graves in memory of their friend, the late Janet Scott. City pool open through August
The city of Uvalde swimming pool on East Nopal Street, next to the Willie De Leon Civic Center, opened to the public on May 31. Tennis, basketball, and soccer will be the featured sports for youth camps scheduled for next week. The tennis camp begins next Monday.
