County OKs tax rebate plan for planned Kincaid Hotel project



Uvalde County Commissioners approved a 15-year economic development agreement for the historic Kincaid Hotel, allowing its soon-to-be owner to qualify for a rebate on property taxes, as they relate to improvements, and sales taxes. Retired teachers give gift baskets

The Huajilla chapter of Texas Retired Teachers Association awarded gift baskets of classroom supplies to new teachers in seven area school districts, including Sabinal and Leakey. TRTA regularly supports first-year and established teachers by offering grants and scholarships for classroom use.  This year, they also distributed baskets filled with notebooks, markers, staplers, calendars, and many other handy supplies.
