Coyotes lose first district game

Quarterback Jerry Almaraz (No. 4) gets pushed out of bounds by a Floresville defender, but not before he picks up enough yardage for a Uvalde Coyotes first down.
Turnovers and penalties proved costly for the Uvalde Coyotes Friday as they lost a 28-14 decision to the Floresville Tigers in District 29-4A football action on a rainy night at Floresville. The Coyotes turned the ball over four times and they were penalized at some inopportune times.
