Anita T. Smith Anita Torres Smith, 92, Ph.D., of Uvalde died on Aug. 19, 2021, at the Veranda Assisted Living center. Services are pending with Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary, and a complete obituary will appear in a future edition of the Uvalde Leader-News.
