Bertha B. Geaslin

Bertha Barton Geaslin, 95, of Boerne, formerly of Utopia, died Sept. 30, 2021, at The Texan House in Boerne.

She was born in Weimar on June 24, 1926, to Bertha Tina Leistikow and William Oscar Barton.

She is survived by five nephews, Herbert McIntosh of Blanco, Ernest Chaney of Irving, Roy Chaney of Katy, Sidney Chaney of Utopia, and Jimmy Smart of Sabinal; two nieces, Charlotte Saladino of Waco and Sandra Payne of Utopia; and many great nieces, nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Johnny Barton and Oscar Barton and five sisters, Emma Hearne, Louise McIntosh, Janie Chaney, Delia Barton, and Celia Smart.

Visitation was Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Utopia with the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m.

Interment followed at Waresville Cemetery in Utopia.
