Yesterday at Uvalde’s Marvin Kolinek Field, the Uvalde Coyotes and the Pleasanton Eagles were scheduled to complete their bi-district baseball playoff series.

The two teams were set to begin the series at Pleasanton Friday night.

Results from the series will be reported in next Thursday’s edition of the Uvalde Leader-News.

The Uvalde-Pleasanton winner advances to the Area round of the playoffs and will face the winner of the bi-district playoff series between the Hidalgo Pirates and the Robstown Cotton Pickers.

Friday night, the Hidalgo-Robstown series was to begin at Robstown, while the series was set to conclude yesterday night at Hidalgo.

Coach Sart Perez III’s Coyotes, 12-11 for the season, went into the bi-district series opener Friday night coming off of a 10-7 road win over the Devine Warhorses in a warm-up game for the playoffs conducted on April 29 at Devine.
