Cabralez: God is always with His creations


2 Corinthians 6:16 As God has said: “I will dwell with them and walk among them, and I will be their God and they shall be my people.”

God’s purpose in Christ Jesus was to create a new humanity, a humanity where He could live and walk among His people; where this would be called the family of God, as in heaven and on earth. This was the prayer of Paul we read in Ephesians 3:14-21: “For this reason I bow my knees to the Lord to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.” Wow! And it continues: “I pray that out of His glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.”

What is His Spirit? It is the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the grave. The same Spirit that birthed Him, trained Him, led Him, taught Him; that same Spirit that is now operating in our inner Spirit, for in our inner Spirit is where Christ dwells. That He may live in our hearts through faith by the Holy Spirit. Why, so that we may be rooted and grounded in love.    

When you receive Christ, it takes faith. A faith just like Mary who said “let it be according to your Word.” Colossians 3:16-17 then tells us: Let the word of Christ live in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. Whatever you do in word or deed do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

That is why in John it says: “in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh. The Word, Christ Jesus came and dwelt among us (pitched His tent). He tabernacle among us and we beheld His Glory. The glory of the only begotten Father, the Father of grace and truth. God pitched His tent among us promising never to leave us, never to forsake us, never to leave us as orphans. Despite our hardships, despite our failures or despite whatever situation we face He walks with us, He walks through us and if God is for us then whom can be against us.

Colossians 2:6: So just as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord so walk in Him rooted and built in Him. So it is that we live and move by the Holy Spirit that is in us. This is true as we read in Acts 17:28: ‘For in Him we live and move and have our being.’ You see He is always with us, as His people, those who have received His Spirit as Lord and we know that where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom! There has to be freedom of bondages of any kind if the Holy Spirit dwells in you. We are called to examine ourselves. 2 Corinthians 13:5: Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith, test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you-unless indeed you are disqualified. Disqualified? How can we be disqualified, the answer we find in 2 John 1:9 whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son living inside of Him. 

Living and moving and walking and singing and teaching one another everyday of life. The life of God, dwelling in us.
