Community farmers market will be held in the downtown plaza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with an array of homegrown vegetables and baked goods.
American Legion Post 479 and its ladies auxiliary Unit 479 will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 583 W. Main. The group meets at the same time and location on the first Thursday of each month. FMI, Alex Castillo, 830-703-9512.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 3
Flights to Furever, which seeks to find new homes for abandoned dogs out-of-state, will benefit from a bake sale set from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (or until items sell out) at First State Bank of Uvalde, 200 E. Nopal St. Donations of baked goods will be accepted on-site.
Bingo will begin at 7 p.m. at Herby Ham Activity Center, 248 FM Road 3447. Regular bingo packages are $14, and electronics and pull tabs are available.
