SATURDAY, APRIL 9 

The Uvalde de las Encinas Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 10:30 a.m. at El Progreso Memorial Library where John Oberman, owner of the D’Hanis Brick Company, will discuss the company’s history.

TUESDAY, APRIL 12

Les Brieden offers woodworking classes each Tuesday at Herby Ham Activity Center. Class begins at 9:30 a.m. and again at 6 p.m. for $5 per class or $30 per month.

THURSDAY, APRIL 14

Community farmers market will be held in the downtown plaza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with an array of homegrown vegetables, baked goods, and artisan goods.

El Progreso Club members will gather at noon at El Progreso Memorial Library. Members of the public may bring a lunch and join the club members. Hostesses will be Ann Reagan and Shirley Grigg.

Thursday, April 21

Uvalde County Commissioner Ronald “Ronnie” Garza will host a wills and estate planning session at 6 p.m. Attorney Rogelio M. Muñoz will be the featured speaker at the Uvalde County Nutrition Center, 420 W. Nopal St. The event is free to attend and expected to last about an hour. FMI, Garza, 830-275-3482.
