Galizia
Dr. James Galizia, who most recently practiced interventional cardiology at Nix Cardiology Clinic and Texas Vista Medical Center in San Antonio, is joining Uvalde Medical and Surgical Associates, 1195 Garner Field Road, Building B, Suite 500.
Galizia is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and has extensive experience as a practicing cardiologist, including appointments as director of cardiac rehabilitation at Shannon Health System and primary investigator of clinical research studies and director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at the University of Texas Health Science Center, where he was also an assistant professor.
Galizia earned a bachelor’s degree at Columbia University in New York. He received his medical degree and completed his internal medicine residency at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, followed by fellowships in cardiology at Yale University and the University of Southern California.
