Carlos Casarez

Carlos Casarez, 62, of Batesville died on Jan. 27, 2020, in San Antonio.

He was born on Feb. 18, 1957, in Carrizo Springs to Santos (Macias) and Eluterio Casarez.

He is survived by his mother; two sisters, Diana C. Correa and husband, Rogelio, and Maribel C. Correa; three brothers, Eluterio Casarez Jr., Julian Casarez and wife, Elsa, and Fernando Casarez, all of Batesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, and brother-in-law, Dagoberto Correa.

A visitation was held Friday at 4 p.m. and a rosary was recited at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

A funeral mass was held yesterday at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Batesville. Interment followed at Batesville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Eluterio Casarez Jr., Fabian Casarez, Jeffery Canales, Levi Correa, Rogelio Correa and Donavan Correa.
