Carlos Humberto Romero, 41, of Uvalde died April 29, 2024, at the Kincaid Hotel.
Visitation will be held May 5 from noon to 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. A funeral service is May 6 at 10 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
He was born on Nov. 24, 1982, in Brownsville to Maria Cipriana Zapata and Humberto Reynaldo Romero.
He is survived by his companion, Blanca Sanchez of Uvalde; two sons, Dylan Sanchez and Misael Sanchez both of Uvalde; his mother, of Uvalde; brother, Oscar Romero and wife, Jessica, of Uvalde; and sister, Mirsa Ramirez and husband, Oscar, of Uvalde.
Pallbearers will be Michael Zapata, Oscar Romero, Oscar Ramirez, Dylan Sanchez, Joel Zapata, Jesse Ramirez, Ethan Zapata, and Rick Rodriguez.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandfather, Antonio Zapata; and grandmother, Amalia Zapata.
