Christina Perez

Christina Perez, 51, of La Pryor died on June 12, 2023, at PAM Health Specialty Hospital in San Antonio. 

She was born on July 16, 1971, in Crystal City to Guadalupe (Salazar) and Roberto Perez.

She married Pedro Perez Jr. on July 16, 2019, in Dallas.

She is survived by her husband of three years, of Bulverde; her father, of La Pryor; daughter, Maricela Contreras of Bedford; sister, Ashley Perez of Bedford; and two brothers, Ricardo Perez of Arlington and Roberto Perez Jr. of La Pryor. 

She was preceded in death by her mother; paternal grandparents, Conchita and Manuel Perez; maternal grandparents, Maria and Jacinto de Jesus Salazar; and her beloved cat, Lucky.

A visitation was held on June 15 at 1 p.m., and a rosary was recited at 7 p.m., at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  

A funeral Mass was held on June 16 at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Pryor.  Interment followed at La Pryor Cemetery. 

Pallbearers were Paul Perez, Bobby Perez, Rodrigo Perez, Joe Ortegon, John Ortegon Jr. and Ramiro Salazar.

Honorary pallbearer was Mario Perez Jr.
