Meet held Sept. 10 in Bandera
Uvalde High School’s Jack Collins captured third place overall in the boys’ varsity division of the Bandera High School Invitational cross-country meet on Sept. 10.
Collins, a UHS junior, posted a time of 17 minutes and 51.455 seconds.
As a team, Coach Libby Gonzales’ Coyotes totaled 215 points to claim eighth place in the team standings.
Other vying in the race for UHS were: Joseph Pedraza, 46th place, 21:11.828; Carter Crow, 50th place, 21:30.523; Mauricio Alejandro, 21:36, 092; and Isaul Torres, 66th place, 23:49,723.
Annalia Gonzalez was the top-finishing UHS runner in the girls’ varsity race. She finished 37th overall with her time of 14:13.282.
Uvalde’s other four finishers were: Monica Vera, 43rd place, 14:32.743; Fiona White, 51st place, 14:52,453; Ytza Duron, 60th place, 15:30.685; and Michelle Hernandez, 62nd place, 15:31.523.
