Eduardo Arroyos Sr., 62, a longtime resident of Uvalde, died on Feb. 14, 2022, at Dimmit Regional Hospital.
He was born on Jan. 16, 1960, in Lubbock to Rosario (Gonzales) and Marcelino M. Arroyos Sr.
Visitation will begin today at 2 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary, and interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
He married Raquel Pargas on Nov. 23, 2005, in Austin.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, of Uvalde; his mother, of Austin; four daughters, Amanda Arroyos and husband, Pedro Ruiz, Vanessa Arroyos, Clarice Arroyos and husband, John Paul Lopez, and Erica Escamilla and husband, Daniel, all of Uvalde; three sons, Eduardo Arroyos Jr. and wife, Kim, of San Antonio, Abram Arroyos and wife, Sonia, of Beeville, and Steven Arroyos and wife, Kaleigh, of Kingsbury; seven sisters, Maria Melendez of Uvalde, Myra Monroe of San Antonio, Rebecca Rodriguez, Maria Kirk, and Ida Garza, all of Austin, Leticia Rodriguez of Florida, and Rosa Cosme of Minnesota; five brothers, Juan Arroyos, Javier Gonzales, Pedro Gonzales, and Justin Arroyos, all of Uvalde, and Marcelino Arroyos Jr. of Austin; 24 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marcelino M. Arroyos; and sister, Dora Salazar.
Pallbearers will be Marcelino Arroyos Jr., Eddie Arroyos Jr., Abram Arroyos, Esteven Arroyos, Jake Arroyos, and Eddie Arroyos III.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Arroyos, Devin Arroyos, Caleb Arroyos, Lorenzo Arroyos, Carlos Garza, Adrian Arroyos, Edwin Maisonet, Elias Maisonet, and Carlos Moreno.
