Efrain E. Galvan

Efrain Eli Galvan, 14, of Uvalde died on May 31, 2019, in Kinney County.

A funeral service will be held today at 10 a.m. at Templo Cristiano, 231 North Park Street. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

He was born on June 15, 2004, in Uvalde to Reyes G. Perez and Orlando Galvan.

He was proceeded in death by his maternal grandfather, Juan Reyes “Papi” Gomez, and paternal grandmother, Simona “Mimi” Galvan.    

Galvan is survived by his parents; stepfather, Adalberto Perez; two brothers, Andres Reyes Galvan and Elias Galvan, both of Uvalde; and three uncles, David Gomez of Uvalde, Juan Gomez of Montrose, Colorado, and Omar Galvan of San Antonio; three aunts, Marina Rios of Crystal City, Magdalena De La Cruz of Montrose, Colorado, and Margarita Gomez of Laredo; grandmother, Elvira Gomez; and grandfather, Ramon Galvan, both of Carrizo Springs.

Pallbearers will be Joe Torres, Andres Reyes, Noel Guzman, Ruben Flores Sr. and Reynol P. Torres.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shaun Villanueva Jr., Ethan Estrada, Tristan Estrada, Stanley R. Torres and Dhariyan J. “DJ” Morales.

  A visitation was held yesterday from noon to 9 p.m., and a prayer service was held at 7 p.m., at the Chapel of Serenity at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home of Uvalde.
