George Bustamante

George Bustamante, 74, of Uvalde died Feb. 12, 2024, at his residence.

He was born on Feb. 22, 1949, in Uvalde to Rosa Garcia and Monico Bustamante.

He is survived by his companion Lupe Vasquez of Uvalde; son, George P. Bustamante and wife, Ophelia, of Los Angeles; three daughters, Rosa Powell and husband, Mike, of Houston, Monica Cabral and husband, Tony, and Kristina Rivas and husband, Albert, all of Devine; sister, Lala Eaton of Forth Worth; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation was held on Feb. 17 from noon to 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral home where a rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Cremation is under the direction of Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home.
