Gilbert T. Rodriguez, 57, of Uvalde, died Oct. 19, 2019, in Uvalde.

He was born Sept. 7, 1962, in Uvalde to Angelita Trevino-Rodriguez and Eluterio P. Rodriguez.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Eluterio Rodriguez Jr.

He is survived by his companion, Celia Cardenas; two sons, Lorenzo Rodriguez of Uvalde, and Alfonso (Cristina) Munoz of San Marcos; five daughters, Cristy Munoz, Melissa Castillo, and Vanessa Rodriguez, all of Uvalde, Amanda (Jon) Martinez of Midland, and Tiffany Rodriguez of Baytown; five brothers, Edward Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, Jessie Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez, and Roland Rodriguez, all of Uvalde; two sisters, Guadalupe Martinez and Irene Cano, both of Uvalde; 21 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A visitation was held Monday and Tuesday from noon to 9 p.m. in the Chapel of Serenity at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, 424 Geraldine St. in Uvalde. A prayer service was held at 6 p.m. on both days.

A funeral service was held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, with interment following at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, 527 Lovers Lane.

Pallbearers were Lorenzo Rodriguez, Justin Ybarra, Adrian Rodriguez, Christopher Rodriguez and Zachary Vasquez, all of Uvalde; Alfonso Munoz of San Marcos, Devin Adams of Baytown, and Jon Martinez of Midland.
