Guadalupe Fernandez, 82, of Uvalde died on May 24, 2019, in San Antonio.

A rosary will be recited on Friday at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Interment of ashes will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery.

She was born on Nov. 19, 1936, in La Pryor to Margarita (De La Cruz) and Manuel Villasana.

She is survived by her daughter, Marisol Fernandez-Jimenez and husband, John Christopher Jimenez, of San Antonio; three grandchildren, Saryah Gonzalez, Gabriela Ayala and Christina Pena; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Fernandez was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aurelio Fernandez; and son, Pedro Peña.
