Jack E. Easley Sr.

Jack Edward Easley Sr., 76, of Cotulla, formerly of Uvalde, died Sept. 25, 2021, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital.

He was born on July 18, 1945, to Norma Jean (Perkins) and Jack Joy Easley.

Prior to retirement, he was the owner and operator of Jack Easley Custom Builders, a third-generation, family-owned company in Uvalde, and he served 25 years with the Uvalde Volunteer Fire Department.

He was a member of the Uvalde Bass Club, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and cookouts with family and friends. His family said he was special man who was greatly loved and who will live on forever in their hearts and memories.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Easley of Cotulla; two sons, James Vernon Easley and wife, Melissa, of Knippa and Joseph Alvin Easley of Boerne; 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Sharon Elizabeth Easley; son, Jack Edward Easley Jr; and sister, Joy Postell.

Visitation took place Tuesday from 1-7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary, where the funeral service took place at 10 a.m. yesterday.

Graveside services followed the funeral at 2 p.m. in Barksdale.

Pallbearers were Jim Easley, Jody Easley, Chance Easley, John Easley, Mike Willis, and Neil Klein.
