Jaime R. Lee

Jaime Robert Lee, of Uvalde, passed away Nov. 17, 2022, at the age of 93. He was born on Feb. 15, 1929, to Robert E. Lee and Zora White Lee in Mason, Texas. He graduated from Mason High School in 1946 and began his life-long passion of ranching in Mason. He loved his ranching and he loved his horses.

Jaime began dating Wanda Jean Kruse in 1941 and they were married on Dec. 18, 1948. They have enjoyed 73 years of marriage.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Zora Lee, his brother, Jack Lee and a son-in-law John Clanton.

Survivors include his wife Wanda Jean, two sons and two daughters and their families: 

Son, Jay Robert Lee and wife Anna of Horseshoe Bay and a grandson Jason Lee of Round Rock.

Daughter, Beth Lee Clanton, granddaughter Kellie Cataline and husband Louie of Tomball, great-granddaughters Audrey, Sarah and Lucy, granddaughter Cristi Graham and husband Dennis of Marble Falls, great-grandchildren Hannah and Andrew Graham.

Daughter, Peggy Lee Hand and husband Wallace Hand of San Antonio, grandsons Robert Hand of Boerne and Dr. Thomas Hand of San Antonio, great-grandson William Hand.

Son, Ted Lee and wife Kathy of Uvalde, grandson James Lee and wife Rachel, great-grandsons Samuel, Silas and Livingstone all of Uvalde, granddaughter Bonnie Lee Larden and husband Ben, great-grandson East Larden all of Australia, step-granddaughter Maegan Kuykendall and husband Michael, step-great-grandchildren Rellan and John Kuykendall all of Horseshoe Bay, step-granddaughter Farrin Fox of Spicewood.

A private graveside service was held at the Gooch Cemetery in Mason, Tx, with Rev. Peter Aguilar officiating. Serving as pallbearers were James Lee, Ben Larden, Robert Hand, Dr. Thomas Hand, Dennis Graham, Louie Cataline and Jason Lee.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the charity of one’s choice.
