Javier Garza, 23, of Uvalde died on June 29, 2023, in Uvalde. 

He was born on Aug. 29, 1999, in Uvalde to Elsa (Espinoza) and Saul Sergio Garza. 

He is survived by his mother, of Uvalde; sister, Denise Garza of Uvalde; two brothers, Sergio Garza and Saul Garza, both of Uvalde; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father. 

Visitation was scheduled July 2 at 1 p.m., and a rosary was recited at 7 p.m., at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral Mass was celebrated on July 3 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery.
