Jose H. Cardona 

Jose Heriberto Cardona, 34, of Uvalde died on March 19, 2023, at Christus Santa Rosa in San Antonio.

A Mass will be celebrated on March 23 at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation took place March 22 from noon to 9 p.m., and a rosary was recited at 7 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home.

He was born on Jan. 18, 1989, in Eagle Pass to Maria Ana Arredondo and Jose Hector Cardona. 

He is survived by his parents, of Uvalde; two sisters, Ana Gabriela Cardona Swaby and husband, Michael, of Bellaire, and Magda Aracely Butler and husband, Zeke, of San Antonio; two aunts, Elia Rodriguez of San Antonio and Consuelo Aguilera and husband, Raul, of Eagle Pass; uncle, Ramiro Arredondo and wife, Esperanza, of Houston; two nieces, Estelle Swaby and Emilia Swaby, both of Bellaire; two nephews, Mozes Bulter and Mathiaz Butler, both San Antonio; and 32 cousins. 

He was preceded in death by four uncles, Mario Arredondo, Rosendo Arredondo, Antonio Arredondo, and Norberto Arredondo.
