Juan A. Castillo Sr.

Juan Antonio Castillo Sr., 55, of Uvalde died on Oct. 3, 2020, in Corpus Christi.

Visitation will be on Monday and Tuesday from noon to 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home with a prayer service on Monday at 7 p.m., and a rosary recited on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment following at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home allows only 50 percent capacity and required mask coverings during all services.

Castillo was born in Mexico, on May 12, 1965, to Pura Cuellar and Carlos Castillo.

He is survived by wife, Anna Maria Castillo, of Uvalde; three sons, Juan Castillo Jr. and wife, Cristina, Gilbert Castillo and Alvaro Castillo, all of Uvalde; daughter, Selena Castillo of Uvalde; five brothers, Edward “Lalo” Castillo, Joe Castillo and partner, Rosie Sambrano, and George Castillo and wife, Stacy, all of Uvalde, Rogelio “Roy” Castillo of La Pryor, and Carlos Castillo Jr. and wife, Lupe, of Fort Worth; four sisters, Maribel Castillo, Yolanda Perez and husband, Joe, and Lisa Garcia and husband, Tony, all of Uvalde, and Purificacion Castillo of San Antonio; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Ricardo Castillo; and brother-in-law, Oscar Bustamante.

Pallbearers will be Carlos Castillo Jr., Rogelio Castillo, Edward Castillo, Jorge Castillo, Juan Castillo Jr. and Gilbert Castillo.
