
Juan G. Aguilera
Juan Gonzalo “Shike” Aguilera, 61, of Uvalde died on Nov. 3, 2022, at a residence in Marble Falls.
He was born on Oct. 17, 1961, in San Angelo, Texas to Benita (Ortiz) and Gonzalo Aguilera.
He married Zinna Rodriguez in Uvalde on Feb. 20, 1983.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, of Uvalde; mother, of Camp Wood; two daughters, Audrey Marie Aguilera and companion, Billy Vera, and Amy Leigh Aguilera and companion, Jeromino Coronado, all of Uvalde; sister Mariselda Palacios and husband, Joel, of Garland; brother, Oscar Aguilera and wife, Melissa, of Kerrville; six granddaughters, Zenaida Coronado, Nevaeh Aguilera, Zariana Coronado, Madison Herrera, Zsophia Coronado and Zaleigh Coronado, all of Uvalde; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and granddaughter, Erica Rodriguez.
A rosary was recited on Nov. 8 at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Flores, Gabriel Gonzales, Lorenzo Ortiz, Juan Gonzales, Tony Hernandez and Mico Martinez, Arturo Aguero, and Rico Marin.
Honorary pallbearers were Adam Guzman, Randy Bermea, Roy Flores, Jim Welch, Bernie San Miguel, and Jackie Bob Wright.
