Julian G. Bermea

Julian Garcia Bermea, 73, of Grand Prairie died on Aug. 16, 2018, at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Irving.

A mass of Christian burial will be held today at  5:30 p.m. at Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church in Irving, followed by a reception in the parish hall.

A mass of Christian burial will also be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in La Pryor. Interment will follow at the La Pryor Cemetery.

He was on born May 16, 1945, in La Pryor to Catrina (Garcia) and Julian Bermea.

He served in the U.S. Army and was self-employed in the construction industry.

He married Josefina Castillon on Sept. 7, 1968, in La Pryor.

Bermea was of the Catholic faith, and he was a resident of Grand Prairie for more than 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bermea is survived by his wife, of Grand Prairie; two daughters, Michelle Brown and husband, Dale, of Flower Mound, and Sadeane Salazar of Euless; two brothers, Mario Bermea of McAllen and Armando Bermea and wife, Gloria, of San Diego, California; three grandchildren, Brittany Salazar and companion, Anthony Gates, Casen Salazar, and Sierra Brown Coleman and husband, Stephen; and great-grandson, Anthony Julian Gates.
