Grievance hustlers

The tragedy in Uvalde has affected many people. It is heartening to see so many coming to the aid of those wounded and the families of those killed and, those that helped in the process. Investigations are ongoing and memorials are being planned which are appropriate in the process of healing.

But we can’t give into the grievance industry. There are people who continuously agitate for various causes. Often their purpose isn’t justice as much as self-aggrandizement and enrichment. This is seen in the organizers for Black Lives Matter, the various occupy movements, etc. The progressives agitated and gained a following but, in the end, their real morals were shown in what they did with the money.

Tragedy was left in their wake as communities are still dealing with the destruction left behind. Little to none of the money donated for those causes got to the people who suffered loss.

As a community, we need to reject the grievance hustlers. If someone cannot work within the order of society, they should be rejected. If they think the laws and ordinances of our city are unjust, they should work within the processes to change them. Causing disruptions to get attention is immature and unproductive.

People need to lay off the police. There are processes for review of police activity and must be allowed to work. Police officers aren’t perfect, but we need honest law enforcement more than ever in these crazy times. In every city where progressive agitators claimed grievance against law enforcement officers, the result has been disaster. The communities are suffering more over the long term than what the original tragedy brought about.
