The Uvalde Lobos will begin the first of their final four District 29-4A volleyball matches Tuesday when they travel to Pearsall for a district rematch against the Pearsall Lady Mavericks.
Varsity action is set to begin at 7 p.m. and will be preceded by a 5 p.m. freshman match and a 6 p.m. junior varsity match.
On Sept. 16, the Lobos lost a 25-19, 25-27, 28-26, and 25-21 thriller against Pearsall in Uvalde High School’s Harvey Kinchlow Gym.
Following action Tuesday, Coach Debbie Martinez’s Lobos, 1-6 in district and 4-18 for the season, will make a long trip to Floresville for district competition against the Floresville Jaguars next Friday night.
One week from Friday, the Lobos will play at Carrizo Springs, before winding up their district slate at home against the district-leading Pleasanton Eagles on Oct. 25.
Prior to the Carrizo Springs match, the Lobos have an open date in their district schedule.
Last Friday, the Lobos were scheduled to host Somerset.
Results from the match will be reported in a future edition of the Uvalde Leader-News.
